Hey, can you spare me a dime, I mean a QUARTER??

My hubby has been collecting the State quarters since it began back in ?? and he is collecting them from both mints. Now many of you may not know that coins are minted in Philadelphia for east of the Mississippi and are also minted in Denver for west of the Mississippi. You can tell where it is minted as there is a little tee-tiny "D" on the face of it. Most of us will need our magnifiying glasses to see it! LOL! Any who, he had a "west of the Mississippi" link for many years and she would send the state quarter when it came out but she has moved to NC. Soooo, I'm looking for someone west of the Mississippi who might be able to send me a UTAH quarter. I'll be happy to reimburse for the quarter and postage and will throw in a little surprise. You would be doing me a huge favor as I won't have to listen to a grown man pine away over 25 cents.

IN QUILTING NEWS, I am working on the vase for my lilies. I hope to have it completed by the end of the weekend. I also made snowball blocks for my son's quilt last night while watching my tivo'd "Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency" shows. That and "Project Runway" are my "trashy" programs.

Hope everyone's week is going along well!

Well, who knew . . . beside your dear Hubby that there are two sets of quarters. I'll dig around and see what I have.
Doncha just love that Project Runway? I haven't picked a favorite yet for this season . . . how about you?

You're on Utah already? I'm still way back at West Virginia, and though I knew coins are minted in two places, I hadn't thought about this set. I am going to have to look at all my change. I think I'm going to have to go shopping!

Your Calla lilies are beautiful - thank you so much for that idea. I have a friend named Lily, so this would be a wonderful gift for her or her parents.

I'm a little behind in reading your posts, really also enjoyed looking at your snowboarding scene, and your sleigh scene. They are both absolutely gorgeous! I've always wanted to do silhouettes, but haven't gotten around to it.

You're a great inspiration all around.

You know, the last year or so I can't even get 1 of the new state quarters. They are getting harder and harder to get. Good luck!

I just found your blog through the TIF Challenge. Great idea - the lilies are gorgeous and the vase very innovative. I'm from Montana and could collect the coins your husband needs. I already do it for my dad and sister and since I own a store, it's easy to get them. Just send me an e-mail and we can work out the details. I have a shiny Utah quarter ready for you.

Latest finish and a preview
