My first Art Quilt
Here is a picture of a quilt I put together in 6 weeks for the Jacksonville, Florida quilt show. My sister lives there and I was going to visit so I figured why not enter a quilt in a place where no one knows me!!! I had hand painted the fabric in July at a Fabric Painting class with Michelle Scott of NJ, now in PA. When I painted the fabric that afternoon, it reminded me of Florida and I knew I was going to make something for my sister with this piece. I did enter the quilt and got great comments from the Judge about the painting and the beading. It was a fun experience and I am now working on my next quilt for that show in September.
