50 years and 100 posts

Today is the first day of my next half century here on Planet Earth! Yup! I'm Nifty Fifty!! I have been mulling it over the last few weeks, actually dreading it but thanks to a lovely weekend with the greatest group of friends a gal could have, I am eager to begin. This is typically the weekend our guild holds our quilt retreat at a B&B in Rhode Island. We left Friday morning bright and early, hit our first quilt shop at 10 am and kept going. By four, we had been to 3 quilt shops, an antique store, a knitting shop and had lunch! The rest of the weekend was spent sewing, drinking wine and laughing late into the night. If not for these wonderful ladies, I don't know how I would be feeling today. They made me realize how great life is no matter what age you are or how many wrinkles or extra pounds you may be carrying! Thanks Apple Valley gals for making this another special birthday.
And...I see that tomorrow will be my 1ooth posting on my blog. Sewww, anyone who leaves a comment today or tomorrow will be thrown into the jar and a name will be drawn for a special surprise. I think I'll let Mr. B draw the name. He loves paper!
Speaking of my kitties, my hubby took them for an annual physical and just like her mommy, Miss Holly is carrying a few extra pounds. I think she is going to have to get ON the treadmill with me instead of just watching from now on.
Oh, and if turning 50 isn't bad enough, (*s*) I have to go and have my driver's license renewed which means a new picture. So, I'm off to make myself gorgeous for the camera! LOL! Have a great day everyone!

I did the 5-0 too, it was a bit scarey on the approach, but I'm adjusting LOL!

Hope your day was ever-so-happy!

Happy Birthday! Mine is in 7 days. And speaking of driver's license I just did that too. Cost me a bunch, since 911 you have to prove who you are with marriage license and birthd certificate.

Happy belated 50th!! Now you're one-of-the-crowd! LOL

Every birthday, I remind myself that it's only a numbers-game. Age is a mindset and I've made up my mind that I'm gonna live forever. (So far, so good!)
